The Dream-ROC
Seems like no one will let the 80’s die. Whether it’s Drake and his Cosby-like sweaters(which I was rocking way before), Avaitor glasses, Marty Mcfly sneakers, Hot Tub Time Machine, or anything florescent, there is something, or someone today that will heavily rely on that decade for influence. The Dream is the latest to draw some inspiration from this time with his latest single that would feel just as home in a 1980’s style Camero or Pontiac Firebird, just as much as your bedroom. The keyboard stabs are the same slinky ones that used to get regular play when Hall & Oats and DeBarge had it poppin. I would love to direct a video for this song that starring Eddie Murphey(more Axel Foley than Dr Doolittle), sports cars of the decade, smoke machines, and maybe a few Members Only jackets as well. Aside from my Hype Willaims aspirations aside though, the song is definitely something that should be in your life.
